As Annie Knopf eloquently notes, dining here feels like indulging in the warm embrace of a Mexican abuela's kitchen. The handmade thick corn tortillas are a testament to their commitment to authenticity, perfectly complementing each dish. From the refreshing agua fresca that dances on your palate to the deeply flavorful birria tacos that have garnered widespread acclaim, every bite tells a story of quality and care.

One key highlight is the ceviche, praised for its freshness and balanced zest. Amber Hellyer captured its essence perfectly when she described it as “absolutely fresh and perfectly balanced.” Pair that with rich, tender birria and meticulously crafted drinks, and you have a dining experience that lingers long after the meal has ended. Each dish here is crafted with pride, and you can truly taste the love that goes into them.

Randy Daring’s mention of a special occasion emphasizes the versatility of Casa de Nena, making it perfect not just for casual outings but also for celebrations. The warmth of family ownership shines through, contributing to a laid-back atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Whether you're enjoying the beef soup, indulging in shrimp salsa, or trying their famous empanadas, the flavors will leave you both satisfied and eagerly planning your next visit.

For anyone who thought that takeout Mexican couldn't compare to home-cooked meals, Casa de Nena challenges that notion victoriously, as Alex Cortes discovered. The seasoning of their carne asada burrito and the spicy red salsa impressed even the pickiest of eaters. It's clear that this restaurant cares about providing an excellent dining experience—one that values flavor as much as it does quality ingredients.

In summary, Casa de Nena is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of authentic Mexican flavors served with passion. With dishes that are expertly crafted and a welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to see why this hidden treasure in Ogden is turning heads and winning hearts. This is our new found secret in Ogden. Tucked away, it’s easy to miss, but now hard to pass by! All the food tastes like you’re sitting in the kitchen of a Mexican abuela. Homemade thick corn tortillas, delicious salsa and homemade chips, and flavorful meat, etc., I haven’t had anything I didn’t like here. The atmosphere is also fun and laid back. You MUST try their agua fresca! So delicious. Our kids love it too! This restaurant is owned by a local family (my husband knows their daughter) and you can tell they truly put their heart and soul into the restaurant!

This place is such a hidden gem. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with amazing flavors, this place is a must-visit! The ceviche was absolutely fresh and perfectly balanced — zesty without being overpowering. The birria was out of this world — rich, tender, and packed with deep, savory flavor. Plus, the drinks were spot on — crafted beautifully without being overly sweet, letting the natural ingredients really shine through. You can tell they care about quality here. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and food that leaves you already planning your next visit! I'm so sad I didn't get any pictures.

Solid 4.5 stars! I typically don't order out especially Mexican food because it's difficult for me to want to pay restaurant prices for food I can make better at home. I've been sick with a bug and too tired to cook and really wanted nachos, so decided to give Case De Nena a shot. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito, Birria Tacos and Carne Asada Nachos. I was pleasantly surprised everything was well seasoned and the Red Salsa was actually flavorful and *muy picante* which is hard to find in UT. The other salsas were great, too. The Birria tacos were just okay, but I'm not usually a huge fan of them anyway, so I won't doc them a whole star for my preference. The consome was super tasty and the tortillas were hand made, supple and very good. We'll definitely be back!

Everything was flavorful and delicious. We had the beef soup, the shrimp salsa and rice. We also ordered a cocktail cucumber drink. It was so refreshing and absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

Super great food, the chips came out with salsa and they were very spicy for me. I wish they had a little water to begin with, but they brought it out later and it worked out great. I ordered the enchiladas and it was so delicious. My daughter ordered the birria tacos and she’s so happy. My other daughter ordered the burrito and it was massive enough to feed an a giant.

We love Casa de Nena. The Birria tacos and nachos are our favorite We enjoy the quality of the meat. I’m super picky and don’t love finding a piece of fat or extra chewy pieces. They are picky too and I just don’t have to worry. Love that about them! The Birria has great flavor! Their spicy sauce, onions, cilantro and lime are beautifully served on the side. So glad we found them!!

I would have never found this place had I not been going to one of the warehouses of the companies I work with. It's really off the beaten path but right off of the freeway as well. Their empanadas are so damn good.
